
Fishing season starts tomorrow. Tom's Place and the Crowley Lake marina will be super busy and the fish should be plenty hungry after a very long Winter.

Tom's Place will have its annual Opening Day fishing derby. $15.00 gets you in with a chance to hook $1,000 in prize money.
The Lakes Basin, Reds Meadow will be opening later than usual this year. The Lakes Basin is projected to be open by Memorial Day Weekend and Reds Meadow by late June.

The shuttle bus service into Reds Meadow Valley is scheduled to begin Saturday January 25th.The cost is $10 per vehicle for those camping in the valley.

The Mono Basin Scenic Area Visitor Center is now open for the season. Thursday - Monday from 8am-5pm. For more information call 760-647-3044.
Pacific Crest and John Muir trail thru-hikers who are planning food drops or resupplies via Reds Meadow Valley are advised that June 24 is a tentative opening date. Vehicle access to pick up hikers or drop off supplies is not allowed until the road is open the public. Hikers with these needs may want to consider using Mammoth Pass to Horseshoe Lake for alternative resupply staging.
